Early life and Davidson career
Born in Akron, Ohio, in 1988, Curry attended Charlotte Christian School before enrolling at Davidson College. In three seasons at Davidson, he scored 2,635 points and made 414 three-pointers, finishing as the career scoring leader for both Davidson and the Southern Conference. He helped Davidson reach the 2008 NCAA tournament Elite Eight and completed his bachelor's degree in sociology in 2022.
NBA career and championships
Golden State selected Curry with the seventh pick of the 2009 NBA Draft. He won consecutive league MVP awards in 2015 and 2016, becoming the award's first unanimous winner in the latter season. His Warriors teams won NBA championships in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022, and he was named NBA Finals MVP after the 2022 title.
Three-point records and international play
Curry passed Ray Allen in December 2021 to become the NBA career leader in made three-pointers and reached 4,000 regular-season career three-pointers in March 2025.
