Nouah's official Ramsey Films biography gives his full name as Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr. and states that he was born in Lagos on December 19, 1970. In a 2018 interview, he said he attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School in Lagos before earning a Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. The supplied evidence does not independently corroborate the birth details or university credential.
In a 2018 first-person account, Nouah said he had a cameo role in 1990 and took a role in Mega Fortunes in 1991, with the series airing in 1993. His official biography instead identifies the production as Fortunes and dates it to 1993–1994, leaving the precise naming and chronology of this early work unresolved.
Nouah received major Africa Movie Academy Award recognition for his screen performances. He won the leading-actor award for The Figurine in 2010 and the supporting-actor award for Living in Bondage: Breaking Free in 2020. In 2021, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invited him to its Actors branch, listing '76 and The Figurine as representative credits.
Nouah made his feature directorial debut with Living in Bondage: Breaking Free in 2019 and also appeared in the film as Richard Williams. He subsequently directed Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story and Tòkunbọ̀, the latter released on Netflix in August 2024.
The Guardian Nigeria reported in May 2025 that Nouah was a co-founder and creative director of BRS Studios, a company it said had been established in 2024 by Blue Pictures, Ramsey Films and Sozo Films. No more recent or independent evidence in the supplied material confirms that this leadership affiliation remained unchanged as of August 2026.
