Austen-Peters founded Terra Kulture Arts and Studios Limited in 2003 to promote Nigerian languages, culture, and arts. Terra Kulture identifies her as its founder and owner and lists her as a director and producer. She also founded BAP Productions, a theatre and film company focused on Nigerian stories, and the Lagos International Theatre Festival.
Her theatre work includes production credits for Saro The Musical, Moremi the Musical, Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, Death and The King’s Horseman, and The Trials of Brother Jero. Saro The Musical, identified by BAP Productions as its inaugural stage production, was staged in Lagos in 2013. Her film work includes directing and producing the historical drama House of Ga’a.
Austen-Peters established the Terra Academy for the Arts to support creative-skills training for young Nigerians. She stated that the academy was established in 2021, while the Mastercard Foundation dates its related Art & Entrepreneurship Academy partnership with Terra Kulture to 2022–2027. The available sources do not expressly reconcile the academy’s establishment date with the start of the foundation-backed partnership.
