Let us really reason together as pal, I may be wrong oh please bear with me, this issue of our Government officials stealing our money to enrich another country is it not a thing of shame? because I have never heard of one person
from another country that is keeping his money in Union Bank, UBA, Zenith etc but it has always been we Nigerians going abroad to keep our loot. One thing that strikes my mind is the issue of our brothers and Sisters in Niger Delta, up till now I have heard any body condemning this act except Gani Fahenmi at least on public hearing all I hear is that Niger Delta is deprived of his right in the resource control. I hope the money in possession of the man caught in London is not of the money to develop the Niger Delta area. What I still see in these areas are structures erected by Diette Spiff and Melfold Okilo and road constructed during Komo in Port Harcourt.
I keep wondering what all the pressure groups in Niger Delta are doing, by now I was expecting a kind of request to probe all the past and present governors of this region and ask them what they have been using all the allocations given to them by Federal Government to do. All I hear is cry for marginalization, is the man caught in London not marginalizing the people of his area by stealing their money and take it to UK? Let us carry Calculator and multiply 10 Million Pounce in his account by 260 Naira and also 1Million Pounce times 260 Naira for the raw cash in his possession. It is not madness? These people steal what they don't need.
Although the man in London Prison is not the only one in the business but you can imagine what such money could have done for the people of Niger Delta, I wonder what companies like Shell and other operators will be thinking about us. When the allocation given to us to do something good for our people are been taken away.
Happy Independent in Arrears & God Bless Nigeria!!!
