Nigerians Are Wicked; Exceedingly! | | Why Nigerians, why? Can somebody please help me out on why we are so senselessly critical of issues and people? |

Nigerians are nothing but ingrates and it irks me so much. It is not a new thing and so I am surprised why it is hurting this much. How is it that we will be quick to condemn and criticize those that have done so much to bring us happiness just when they make so a little error but will be the ones to keep running after those that hurt us so much, even at times singing their praises to high heavens?
Let me calm down a little and explain myself because I am getting exasperated just thinking and writing this. Why is it that the politicians that hurt us so much with incessant looting and terrible leadership are worshipped and run after at the turn of every election despite the glaring pointers and evidences on ground on their non- performance and outright neglect of the same people? Why in heavens name?
Why would those like Samson Siasia who brings joy to us in evidently only thing that bring us joy collectively in this country, be treated so badly within a short time? How could we be so heartless? Why in heavens name?
As far as anybody who cares to be concerned is concerned, not just me, Siasia is doing his best in Egypt and I dont think anybody could have done better baring the circumstances he came into the scene in this U-20 saga. Lets not forget in a hurry that it was all of us Nigerians who actually called for the Nigerian Football Federation NFF, to bring Siasia on after the NFF seeming shut him out of working for the country.
Lets not also forget in a hurry how this man conquered Africa in 2005 and went on to almost rule the world in the U-20 world cup that same year. It was the same Siasia with scintillating displays took us close to winning another gold medal in Olympic football event in Beijing where we got a silver. The world even recognized this young man who served Nigeria well as an excellent forward playing for Nigeria, as the FIFTEENTH BEST COACH in the world SECOND in Africa only to the fiery Egyptian Nations Cup winning coach, Shehata.
Many have complained in the papers and every media type that he is not good. Some one in the presidency was even quoted saying Siasia is not better than Amodu. Some have said that he should have gone to the championship with Yemi Tellas entire 2007 U-17 world cup winning side. Is he not the coach of the team? Have we not praised him for his disciplinary stands especially as regards to the Mikel Obi Olympic team participation saga? Who could be in a better position to choose players for Siasia but himself? Worse thing is that, if Siasia had gone to Egypt with Tellas boys and things still turn out as it is at the moment, wont we blame him for carrying half- fit boys to a championship when talents abound in the nation? Yes, Siasias boys have been unlucky in front of goal with some being unpardonable but it is not a peculiar case. Lets be reminded that after winning the world cup in 1998, France went to the 2002 world with three highest goal scorers in three top leagues in Europe and went out in the first round without scoring a single goal, even against debutantes Senegal who pipped them 1- 0. Did that mean that the French scores were not good or that the coach was bad?
Please enough is enough. Most people talking in the papers cannot even coach their family members onto productive lifestyles but have the effrontery to come to the public and condemn people.
Furthermore our U-17 world cup may also end in a fiasco if the Magnetic Resonance Imagery MRI saga continues. FIFA did not force anybody to undergo MRI. We have just been jittery because our hands are soiled. But we should know that age falsification has become our mainstay. Every body is using a false age. The worrying fact is the noise in the country about this issue. A lot of people are talking and forcing the MRI on the team not for any good intention but because their own players have been shut out of the team.
FIFA said age cheating in cadre competition is highest with Brazil in South America, Nigeria in Africa and in Asia with Europe being sincere to the highest of levels. Everybody is involved but that doesnt mean I support it. In fact, I detest it greatly. By and by, what I am trying to say here is the U-17 coach should not be killed if we do not host to win.
