Nigeria, a Super Power in 5 years

In my time of thinking and research, Ive formulated and Five year Plan of Economic Development for Nigeria that I personally think is the fastest, most effective economic plan for any nation in decades. This Plan, in such a short amount of time would not only lead Nigeria into becoming by far the most wealthy nation in Africa and the developing world, but might possibly launch the nation into the rightfully deserved status of Economic World Power that God made our nation the destiny to rise to. In fact 50 years after the Economic plan, Nigeria itself could be seen as a Super Power of the modern world, which is a position our nation was given the obvious potential to reach. The Five Year plan includes 5 major ideas, or programs that will be introduced into the nation in a five year time period know as The Grand Construction. This 5 vital points or the Labor Corps, Block Business, Naijalism, Tax Reform, Land Nationalization, and Block Agriculture, Transportation, and Construction.
The first of these, the Labor Corps, is one of the most vital to the accomplishment of economic advancement. The Corps will work as so. Young adults who are to poor to afford college education will be suggested into join a working force of over a million labors who will work nomadically,
And have all living expenses paid by government, in return of the hard, but fundamentally important labor theyll be made to perform. The areas of Labor will include, railroading, mining, Dam building, road construction, Agricultural labor, and industrial assistance. What makes this labor so beneficial to growth and development is that they will perform theses tasks for free, with a small wage being sent home to their families. In return, government will provide them with housing, while the communities they visit will provide them with food and entertainment. The Labor Crops will also be glorified in society much like the Military or a nation for after all, theyre building a nation with the sweat from there backs, for almost nothing. This glorification will insure that the Labor Crops will be high in numbers with millions of eager young patriots working at intense rates to bring prosperity to the nation. Then, after theyre set years of service, which will be short, they will be granted entrance into any college of choice in the nation, or the region if neighboring nations are willing to cooperate. This is, so long as they pass the requirement exams that will be given to all Labor Crops members after service. The Labor Corps will also feature, volunteers, immigrants from poorer nations wishing for a free college education, and full members who may wish to work in the Corps until retirement and work there way up the ranks much like in a military. This Corps will insure not only that tasks of great effort such as building Dams, Roads, Railroads, and so on will be done at rapid paces. It will also open up the job market for non Corps members who no longer have such a large amount of people competing for the limited jobs in the country.
The second vital step is the idea of Block Businesses. This will allow for the job market and the amount of industries in the nation to literally triple almost every year. The Block Business is done like so.
Government, or private investors, will open a Block, which is basically an idea for a business and will set an Estimated Worth for the business which is how much money they want to start the business with. Then, other companies, foreign, or local, and even the government,( foreign ones and local ones) will buy a curtain percent, or amount of stock, in the Block until the Estimated Worth is completely paid for. Then, the business will operate with whoever that started it being paid on a large salary and profits and expenses will the business of the investors. What makes this Block Businesses so essential in the process will be that the government of the nation will be required to set enough Blocks to provide work for at least 40 percent of the unemployed population a year. This will eventually lead the nation into a state of high employment, and create a strong middle class. It will also almost completely eliminate poverty due to lack of jobs, and increase the amount of money the average Nigerian takes home tremendously. This is since these blocks will be required to pay twice (or more) as much then the average wage for working class Nigerians is before the Block Businesses program was introduced. This will in turn pressure all other businesses in the nation to increase wages in order to compete with the Blocks for employees, and lower competition in the job market so that skilled Nigerians dont have to go abroad to find good work.
Third is the Taw Reform. To understand this idea you must first understand the primitive and literally feudal tax system Nigeria has. Taxes are paid by the average citizen in Nigeria to a monarch (Eze, Oba, etc.) who owns the land they live on. The Monarch then pays to the state of national government after taking there share. This system of feudalism was practiced in Europe in the dark ages which was the reason why European nations, in that time, were the poorest, and for the most part, least developed in the world (much like African nations today, coincidence?). This tax system was introduce to Nigeria by colonialists as a way of extracting the nations wealth and was not meant to boost development. Therefore, since colonial times are over, this tax system that makes the power pay the most, must be eliminated and replace completely by the Naijalist Tax System. Under this system, citizens are required to pay a curtain percent of there income, but are allowed to choose what percent goes to the development of the part of the government budget they choose (education, healthcare, military ext.). This will allow direct financing to the government and rapid development of every Chamber, or area of the government budget, citizens care about and need the most.
Next is Naijalism, which you can read of in my previous article (link). A Naijalist Revolution will be the most important for development out of all the programs for three key reasons. The first being that the Chambers citizens care for the most will develop and up hold the best. The second is that now, instead of a hand full of politicians working for national development, an entire nation of citizens would now be. All citizens will now have the freedom to have his or her ideas towards national development heard, and who know the ions of wonderful ideas the population of over 100 billion Nigerians hold. The third is all citizens, having now becoming active politicians, will understand the nation better and what needs to be done on their part to insure national development.
Of all the ideas, the possibly most controversial and potentially dangerous is Land Nationalization. This means, government, or the Supreme Naijalist Chamber, will have financial rights and control over all land within the nation. With this land, they will divide it into more then a billion squares of land all the same size (approximately) the size of a small block. Then, the blocks of land will all be put to economic use, and up for sale to any citizen. When bought by a citizen, the block must be put to residential, or economic use, meaning that no block of land will be left open and useless. All blocks will either be part of a large commercial farm, or a block of houses built for civil use. The only parts of land that will be allowed to remain useless are those preserved for scenic, or natural reservation purposes. The reason this is the most controversial idea is that Nigerians are shamefully becoming more and more territorial. Tribes are killing other tribes for rights over land that they wont use for anything but bragging or ego boosting. Also, Monarchs in the country, (the biggest land owners) will most likely oppose if they dont know the importance and benefits from this process, and can lead revolts protests and riots. Therefore, land that is being used for agriculture, domestic, or natural beauty, will be kept by their owners, in order to avoid violence. These kept land pieces will be taxed heavily though, in order to pressure the owners to giving up rights over them so they can be used for development. This process will lead to one major non-economical development in the nation that will help more then any amount of money in the nation. It will for the first time in years eliminate the land boundaries, false territorial division and competition of tribes, and separatism or peoples in the nation because of land claims. This will lead to Nigerian people being culturally free to live in any part of the nation they wish, and will mixed all tribes and ethnic groups into one truly united Tribe Of Nigeria. This will also allow the rapid growth of commercial farming that will allow the nation to be a stronger competitor in the world market.
Block agriculture, the next step to development will, like Block Businesses allow commercial farming to grow at phenomenal rates all across the country. This will be done by, first introducing the Land Reform program, then reserving large amounts of the land squares to be used as Commercial farms. These farms will be owned by percent, much like the block businesses, with the farmer being paid of a high salary that also depends on a percent of the profits he makes, which will give him the drive needed by farmers to want to make for money from his crops. These Block Farmers will be large, almost plantation sized, and will be worked on by the Labor Corps, or hired employees.
The last but probably most important in the nations crusade for greatness will be Transportation and Construction. The first process towards this goal is that government will make 25 billion (US) dollars from companies, foreign investment, foreign aid(which should be avoided, and used as a last resort), increased taxes, and loans from wealthy Nigerians, Nigerian Businesses and Nigerian banks. When the money is fully collected, the Government, or Supreme Chamber, must set several goals in transportation and Construction. The first is a Great Dam or the Lokoja Dam project which will build a dam (slightly larger then the Hoover Dam) at the city of Lokoja, where the Niger and Benue rivers meet. This Dam will not only be capable of cleaning and filtering the water supply that passes through it. Also it will be able to provide electrical power for the entire nation (seeing as to how the Hoover Dam can alone provide energy to an area slightly larger then Nigeria, and is built on a smaller, weaker river then the Niger). Since Nigeria already has, for the most part, reliable electricity, the energy from the Lokoja Dam not being used by the country will be exported to neighboring countries and other cities across Africa. The next project is a grand project of rail building at a feverish rate. After this project, Nigeria will have the best rail system in Africa and one of the best rail systems in the world. This will require for all major cities in Nigeria to be linked by rail, then all smaller cities will be linked by rail to the nearest major city. This will spread industry (that have been confined in the Nigerian West and Coastal Southeast due to lack of access to other parts of the country) to all corners of the country and allow for fast, easy, reliable, and cheaper trade within the Nigerian states. Yet, the grand achievement of the Great Rail Project wont be the linking and economic uniting of Nigeria. Instead itll be the projects most ambitious aspect, an international railroad running from Calabar Nigeria to the Cape of Good Hope. This enormous bound of engineering will large financing, and an even larger work force to finish this project in 10 years or less. Therefore, the Labor Corps will be responsible for the manpower behind Nigerias greatest engineering adventure. The financing will not only come from government, but the cooperation of several Nigerian and West African corporations (preferably all Nigerian). With this wonder of the world completed, Nigeria will gain economic and political power over all nations that the railroad crosses, while collecting train fees of all passengers and cargo. This would be an estimated 2 or more billion a year, if intercontinental trade increases in Africa. It will also give Nigeria access to the large South African market and control over Africas most important intercontinental trade route since the Suez Canal.
These efforts alone, with the hard work behind them will propel our nation into the world position it was born to achieve. For the first time in the world prior to colonialism, a great nation will once again raise out of Africa, as a savior to its suffering masses. For the first time in your nations history it will earn the position it was born to have, Africas leader, and in 5 years, the efforts of an entire nation will awake a sleeping giant.
